Danielle McMahan

Wiley EVP & Chief People Officer

Danielle McMahan is Wiley’s EVP & Chief People Officer responsible for overseeing the company’s global human resources operations and people strategy including Total Rewards, Global Talent, and Talent Acquisition.

Danielle comes to us with over 20 years of experience in human resources and an impressive track record implementing strategies that foster a culture of innovation, empowerment, and success. She joins us from the private insurance provider York Risk, where she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. While supporting the company’s global workforce, she led a culture and technology transformation, designed and implemented a multi-year benefits strategy, and deployed a new employee-centric human resource delivery model. During her tenure, York was ranked among Forbes America’s Best Midsize Employers in 2018 and 2019.

Prior to joining York, she served in a wide range of human resources leadership roles at multinational organizations including American Express Global Business Travel, ADP, and Citibank.

Danielle is originally from Somers, New York and is based here at Wiley’s global headquarters in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Michael Margolis

CEO and Founder of Storied

Michael Margolis is the CEO and founder of Storied, a strategic messaging firm specializing in the story of innovation and disruption. As a trusted advisor, Michael partners with c-suite executives, along with heads of product, design, marketing, community, and human resources to deliver on the promise of transformation. He’s trained tens of thousands on narrative intelligence and how to build storytelling as an organizational capability. Since 2002, he’s advised clients across 34 industries and 15 countries—including NASA, Facebook, Google, Hulu, and Greenpeace.

Barry Davis

EVP, Professional Learning

Barry came to Wiley with the acquisition of Inscape Publishing where he spent more than 10 years helping to build a robust value chain for the business, its Partners, clients, and learners. Since joining in 2003, Barry has overseen Workplace Learning Solutions (WLS) brands including Everything DiSC®, The Five Behaviors®, PXT Select™ and The Leadership Challenge®, along with Cross Knowledge (CK). In his role, Barry is focused on building and developing leadership teams with the deep organizational capabilities necessary to achieve lasting competitive advantage through innovation, customer-focused design, and continuous value creation.

Fun Fact: In his spare time, Barry enjoys traveling and seeing the world with his wife.

Romain Mallard

General Manager, WLS

Romain is passionate about education, technology, and branding. With an engineering degree earned in France, he started his career as an entrepreneur co-founding an e-learning company in Brazil acquired by Wiley in 2014. Romain moved from Rio de Janeiro to Minneapolis in 2018 to join the Wiley Brand team and support our Partner community.

Fun Fact: He loves to travel with friends and family, listen to vinyl records, and run around the beautiful lakes in Minnesota.

Cherryl D'Souza

VP, Brand Management

Cherryl has a consistent record of success in spearheading digital marketing initiatives, including building digital media businesses, influencer networks, and the building of a global content studio. A native of India, Cherryl came to the United States to further her education and launched her career at General Mills. During her 15 years there, she led business management and product development for brands like Pillsbury, Fruit by the Foot, and Box Tops for Education.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Cherryl enjoys cooking and entertaining, hitting the gym, and spending time with her husband and children.

Mark Scullard

Sr. Director, Product Innovation

Mark has worked at Wiley for 15 years, involved in all aspects of its product development. He has played an especially large role in the research and validation of Everything DiSC® and PXT Select™ assessments. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Counseling Psychology and has written extensively on topics such as leadership, personality, and interpersonal relationships.

Fun Fact: Mark worked for a full year as the worst line-dancing waiter at Texas Roadhouse.

Claudia Fierro-Poppen

Brand Director, PXT Select™

Claudia has a long history of working with major brands and independent partners. She started her career at Colgate Palmolive in her home country of Colombia, then relocated to Minnesota with her American husband. Claudia fine-tuned her marketing skills at General Mills, working with such brands as Yoplait, Progresso, Lucky Charms, and more. She also spent three years in the jewelry and graduation product departments at Jostens, where she worked with a large partner network.

Fun Fact: Beyond her professional life, Claudia is an entrepreneur. She, along with her husband and two sons, own and operate Ommie Snacks, a local specialty foods business.

Sr. Director, Digital Experience

As an award-winning Experience Design Director, Creative Director, and Strategy, David provides direction and strategy for teams in championing the role of the consumer as the hero of digital ecosystems. Through design-led strategy, David helps to frame why it’s necessary to make such a change, who for, and how it will make money.  

David brings 20 years of commercial experience to his role. Prior to joining Singular Foundry, he spent nine years at Minneapolis advertising agency Olson as a Group Creative Director, Head of UX and leading strategy for their Canadian operations. Prior, David has worked at many agencies in Los Angeles and Chicago.

Fun Fact: David has been to 51 countries with a camera in one hand, a fork in the other, while, quite possibly riding a motorcycle.

Clare McInerney

Director, Partner Channels

In her 14 years with Wiley, Clare has worn many hats—training, communications, channel development. As the Director of Partner Channels, Clare leads the much-beloved Minneapolis Partner Care and Education teams. She’s known for her empathy, direct approach, and unique ability to untangle the tangliest of tangles.
    
Fun Fact: Clare majored in Journalism and Advertising because of Halle Berry’s role in Boomerang. She used to have an Si style (but Jidana said she was lying to herself). And…she now has three kidneys. 

Jidana James

Director, Consumer Insights

DiSC Style: DC with Stability priority

Jidana started with Wiley (nee Inscape) 13 years ago as a Marketing Associate to write copy and coordinate trade shows. But her role quickly evolved to what is now known as Consumer Insights (CI): developing the beta testing process, working with Product Development, and obsessing about our customers and their needs. Today, Jidana and CI work with every team in our Wiley division, which makes her that much closer to reaching her goal of world domination.

 Fun Fact: Jidana is an avid reader of historical fiction and a military history buff. She’s also remodeling her kitchen and would love to tell you about her new oven.

Beth Keup

Consumer Insights Specialist

DiSC Style: Si

Beth’s experience in the Wiley family began when she joined the Partner Care team in 2014, where she gained a wealth of product and platform knowledge and got to know the Authorized Partners. She has been working on the Consumer Insights team since 2015 where she has been able to take part in beta testing some of the newer products in the Wiley family. Beth has a passion for qualitative research and thoroughly enjoys connecting with Authorized Partners and learning more about the consumer experience. Beth has previously worked in the mental health field and has her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Fun Fact: When she’s not on the phone with users of Wiley products, you’ll find her out-fishing her husband, walking her dog, or playing with her 18-month-old.

Tricia Weinhold

Sr. Brand Manager, The Five Behaviors®

Tricia has extensive experience in integrated marketing, brand, and communications strategy with an emphasis in digital marketing. Most notably, Tricia served as the marketing lead for HALO®, a beloved juvenile brand, where she was responsible for all integrated marketing initiatives. Her passion and commitment for developing meaningful, authentic brands and entrepreneurial mindset allow her to act with speed and precision to ultimately deliver results.

Fun Fact: Outside of her work at Wiley, Tricia loves spending time with her husband and two girls, traveling, and pursuing her passion of photography.

Allison Beltramini

Trainer, Education

Allison brings her upbeat facilitation style to Wiley in-person and online certifications. She came to Wiley after a successful 20-year teaching career in higher education. Allison has been an online educator for over 15 years where she found ways to develop courses online that no one ever thought could be put online such as public speaking, small group communication, and leadership studies.

Fun Fact: Allison used to play roller derby but currently enjoys the less dangerous adventures of Pilates, spending time with family and friends, and finding new restaurants to try and roads to travel.

Brittany Beniak

Data Security and Privacy Manager

Brittany Beniak is an information protection professional in the Twin Cities with a Masters of Science in Security Technologies from the University of Minnesota. She specializes in security and privacy program management, and is passionate about implementing commonsense and realistic solutions to keep personal and corporate data safe. Prior to joining Wiley, Brittany worked for a consulting firm serving national clients from various sectors including healthcare, government, manufacturing, and education.

Fun Fact: She has lived in Norway and South Korea and has traveled to over 25 countries. Aside from security awareness, her biggest passion is her rescue dog, Opie!

William Hull

Sr. Director, Business Development

Numbers and results drive William. He combines his vast knowledge of organizational development and talent management with a deep passion for sales and marketing to help grow WLS brands. Before Wiley, William sold custom learning solutions in the academic marketplace, ran a successful fitness business, and served two separate stints in the military, first in the US Navy, and then later as an Army Officer.

Fun Fact: William enjoys running and most other warm weather outdoor activities. Most weekends you’ll find him with his three dogs (Brody, Riley, and Tequila) at the river or engaged in some other aquatic adventure.

Candace Perkins

Manager, Partner Business Solutions Operations

Candace joined Wiley in 2006 working directly with our Partners. Her curiosity and eagerness to learn the business opened up opportunities for her to work in several diverse roles with the organization. No matter where she chose to work within the organization, she has always focused on two things: engagement and results. Candace has over 30 years of customer service, training, and management experience.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Candace enjoys spending lots of time with her family. She and her husband also love giving back to the community through youth mentorship. They have recently started their own non-profit, Normnot Academy whose vision is to “equip the community with accessible mentoring programs that inspires a positive culture for the future.”

Amanda Howard

Director, Research

Amanda holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology, minor in Statistics from Baylor University. She has experience in behavioral research activities and spent six years teaching courses at Baylor University as well as being a visiting lecturer for Buyer Behavior at the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business. She is founding President of the NuRhoSci honor society in Neuroscience, Baylor University chapter, and founding member of Baylor Teaching Commons. For three years, Amanda worked with the US Army Institute for the Behavioral Sciences to improve military training and retention. During her 8+ years with Profiles International (now Wiley) she has lead research for product development, conducted psychometric analyses on assessment data, consulted on assessment implementation techniques, and ensured research activity and product compliance with state and federal regulation for fairness in workforce decisions.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling and yard work.

Sharon Marchant

Platform Product Manager

Possessing a unique combination of technology and personal communication skills that made her a recognized software trainer, Sharon Marchant now serves as Product Platform Manager for both EPIC and PAC. Sharon worked as a professional corporate trainer for over 18 years.  The majority of her career was spent with Sylvan Learning as a dedicated franchise Executive Director of Training and Development and Corporate Technology Trainer.  She successfully trained Sylvan business owners and corporate users how to effectively and efficiently manage their businesses through the use of custom software that Sharon herself helped design.  Her passion for assisting others in achieving their personal and professional goals has resulted in numerous customer service awards over the years. She started working for Profiles International in 2010 as a software trainer for both partners and clients. Under Wiley’s leadership she has spent the last three years as a platform manager where she assists in the design and operation of the internal and external platforms that are used to support our online products.

Fun Fact: Sharon spends her “free” time as a wife, mother, and full-time student. She is currently enrolled in the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor’s Bachelor of Science Organizational Leadership program.

Angelica Garcia-Ruiz

Partner Operations Manager

Based in Toronto, Angelica works closely with the teams in Waco and Minneapolis to ensure the success of our Profiles International and PXT Select International Partners. Originally from Colombia (South America), Angelica has more than eight years of experience working with the Profiles products. She adds valuable experience to the business from her time working with large and small international clients, as well as working for a partner organization before moving to Waco. Angelica moved three times as part of her growth within Wiley–from Colombia to Waco, to Minneapolis, and now, Toronto, where she’s settled with her husband.

Fun Fact: Angelica enjoys outdoor activities and loves hanging out with friends and family in patios/terraces during spring and summer.
